Welcome to Fry's Catering! I’m Dan, and I’ve turned my love for food into a family-run catering business that brings the vibrant tastes of the Mediterranean to your table. My specialty? Mediterranean cold buffets bursting with the sun-drenched flavours of Greece, Italy, and beyond. Inspired by my wife’s Greek heritage and my time in an Italian deli, my menu whisks you back to carefree holiday moments under the Mediterranean sun—filled with laughter, connection, and pure joy. From honey-drenched baklava to creamy, flaky, cinnamon-dusted bougatsa, I’m tinkering with Mediterranean-inspired treats to complement the finest sweets sourced in Cambridgeshire, all designed to recreate those unforgettable bites.

Quality’s non-negotiable. Every dish is crafted with premium ingredients—like ripe tomatoes, tangy, crumbly feta, and fresh figs—tested by me to meet the highest standards. I take pride in presenting food that’s as stunning to look at as it is to eat, arranged with care and detail. I’m not your average caterer—no basic finger sandwiches here! I work closely with you, offering guidance on what sells, how much you need, and trimming orders if you’ve gone overboard—because value matters as much as quality. From our first chat to the last bite, I’m there, ensuring your event, big or small, is a hit. My Journey

 

With over 20 years in hospitality, my food story spans decades and continents. I’ve flipped burgers in fast food joints, brewed coffee in cozy cafes, showcased artisan desserts, explored Asian spices, and perfected pizza and charcuterie from Italy and Spain. Each stop taught me how flavours dance, what makes people smile, and how to sell it with confidence. When the Italian business I worked for shut down, I launched Fry’s Catering from my home kitchen just two weeks later—fueled by grit, passion, and a bit of nerves. It’s grown into a family affair, with my wife and relatives pitching in, all while I dream of leaving something meaningful for my daughter, should she carry the torch one day.

Food’s my obsession—maybe too much! I adore how certain foods weave memories of the past—big family barbecues where tables brim with vibrant flavors, loved ones sharing laughter and tales over every bite. Living in Greece for two months after my wedding sealed it—those salads still haunt me in the best way. Starting from nothing, I’ve built this business to serve names like the NHS, Cambridge and Hatfield Universities, Cambridge United, FORA, Glebe Farm, and National Trust. Catering for over 300 people was a proud, knackering win—buzzing when everyone raved about the food. Now, I’m passionate about taking it step by step to build something truly special, reaching as many people and businesses as possible with bold, unforgettable flavours.
